My first 45 I owned was this one below:
I think I played this 100 times when I brought it home. If you asked me now I could not have even told you the band was that recorded the song. I could however still sing the whole way through and not miss a beat. Not that you would want me to :-)

First Album
I remember the sense of being cool and all grown up when I bought my first album back in 1963. I remember taking it out of the bag and and holding it, I thought is was like the coolest thing ever. Then putting it on the record player I played it over and over until my parents asked for a break. The big tune at the time was also on the cover.
That album made the college tour with me. There were a few frat house parties that pushed the boundaries of epic when I cranked up the title track.
Afte watching these guys on youtube I am glad that I heard the music via the album and not in person :-)
